Plan an Event
Events planned by community groups to benefit C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital are a vital source of funds for us. If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser to benefit Mott Hospital, please review the fundraising guidelines below and fill out our event application. We even have some ideas to help get you started!
Event Guidelines
- All fundraising events for the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital require specific, written approval from the Development Department in advance.
- Public announcements or promotions of the event must not be made until written approval for the event is received.
- Events should reflect the appropriate image for the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
- Fundraising events must comply with relevant laws, including laws of the State of Michigan.
- The University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital cannot endorse fundraising events or products. Promotional materials shall state that “Proceeds will benefit the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital.” This statement may be expanded to include the name of a specific program (example: “Proceeds will benefit the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital Car Seat Program”).
- Upon request of trademark use, all promotional materials on which said trademark are used are subject to pre-approval by the Promotion Coordinator. “Trademark” includes, but is not limited to: the “Block M,” the University of Michigan, any individual University names such as C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital, etc. Further, names of University faculty and staff can only be used with advance written permission.
- The University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital is part of the University of Michigan Health System, and as such, uses the University of Michigan Health System’s registered trademark. The aforementioned trademark may not be reproduced without the express permission of the Development Department.
- The University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital must review all promotional materials before use.
- If circumstances warrant, the University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital may at any time through any of its senior administrators or Development Department cancel the event, or opt out of association with the event. The University and its facilities and hospitals will incur no liability for any such cancellations.
- The University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital agrees to promote the event/organization, when appropriate, through exposure at existing events, printed materials and on the C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital Web site.
- A hospital representative may be able to attend your fundraising event. To inquire about University of Michigan C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital employee representation, please call Deb Lewis at 734-647-7404 three weeks prior to the event.
