Reception for Scholarship Opportunities for Bay Cliff Health Camp
Date: Wednesday, September 22nd

Location: Landmark Hotel in Marquette, MI
Cost: $10.00 admission fee per couple
Description: The Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay, Michigan has served disabled children throughout the Upper Peninsula and beyond since 1934. The University of Michigan Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Bay Cliff Health Camp are working together to provide quality care, scholarship and learning opportunities for campers and counselors throughout the Upper Peninsula.
A fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation will be one of these learning opportunities. Fellows will not only train in the latest procedures with a multidisciplinary team at the University of Michigan but will also travel to the Upper Peninsula regularly to work with children at Marquette General Hospital and at Bay Cliff Health Camp.
Each year Bay Cliff’s team of specialists train counselors to help the campers at Bay Cliff with their therapy and to attain their goals. It is our desire to provide scholarships for undergraduate, graduate and medical students at the University of Michigan to encourage them to work at Bay Cliff Health Camp and take advantage of the valuable training offered at the camp.
It is our goal to have students compete for these scholarships and provide Bay Cliff with the brightest and best students with adesire to serve the campers. Students who participate in this program will experience a life changing experience and will receive excellent training forcareers in physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Big House Big Heart Run

The race starts and finishes at the University of Michigan’s famous football stadium--The Big House. You’ll finish on the 50 yard line and watch yourself on the Big House Big Screen!
Start Time: 8:00 AM - 10K , 9:10 AM - 5K, 10:30 AM - 1 Mile
Cost for 5K or 10K: $32 prior to August 31, $36 prior to October 1, $39 race weekend (October 2 & 3)
Benefitting: $9 of entry fee is a tax deductible contribution split between C. S. Mott Children's Hospital and Von Voigtlander's Women's Hospital, U of M ALS research at The University of Michigan Program for Neurology Research & Discovery and UM Cardiovascular Center.
You also have a chance to raise money for your favorite non profit. You will be provided with a fund-raising kit. Every penny you and your team raises will go directly to your charity of choice.
